# Coronagraph Instrument

![Coronagraph Instrument](https://www.andrewtool.com/hubfs/coronagraph-1.png)

The cutting-edge Coronagraph Instrument on the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope showcases groundbreaking technology that enables astronomers to directly capture images of planets orbiting distant stars. By effectively diminishing the overwhelming glare emitted by the host star, this instrument surpasses all previous coronagraphs in power and precision. Its unparalleled capabilities allow it to detect planets that are nearly a billion times fainter than their radiant stars.
