The Psyche mission explores an asteroid between Mars and Jupiter that resembles the core of an ancient planet. This unique opportunity allows us to learn about the history of terrestrial planets and their cataclysmic collisions. Arizona State University leads the mission, with NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory managing operations and navigation. The spacecraft, built by Maxar, includes an imager, magnetometer, and gamma-ray spectrometer.
